70 years' background leading the varnishes of the future
After more than half a century we can finally put our cards on the table: we care about, in fact, we love, wood. This is because we have grown together with this material, and we have helped it to grow, to become better looking. This is borne out by our almost obsessive research towards further evolution in wood varnishes, often ahead of time and market demand. A market that these days demands: flexibility, high output, assurances of a "just in time" service. And this is what we are able to provide, partly as a result of having computerised most of the production process through a centralised system which controls four PLCs, one for each production line.
Our company today is among the leaders in the sector, with a capillary distribution in Italy and throughout the world, but this has not been our only aim. We like to be among the pioneers, to look forward, certain in the knowledge that there are many more new and wonderful varnishes in our future and in that of our friend wood.

In 1995, Vernici Egidio Milesi S.p.A. attained the prestigious UNI EN ISO 9002 certificate for its quality systems, further confirmed by the upgrading as per the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 (ISO 9001:2000) standars. Among the awards received, an important one has been the Technological Innovation Prize assigned by the Chamber of Commerce in Milan in 1997. |
Let's be clear
We can never underline enough the importance of developing products with a low environmental impact.
Despite efforts made by us and only a few others, many mistakes have been made in the past.
Yet nature is still our friend, and we want it to continue being so, therefore, as well as our traditional products (ever more reliable in applied performance) we have developed new lines of products with practically zero environmental impact. These include high solid content polyurethanes, styrol-free polyesters, and water-based products with rheological properties ever more closely resembling those of traditional products.
All this is to safeguard operators and users, fully complying with the open book concept that has always guided our company's work.
